Get a look at the brand new Houston hub for business, academics and innovation at the free community block party at The Ion in Midtown on Friday, May 13, 2022.

The latest addition to Houston’s entrepreneurial scene is now open to the public and you can get a glimpse of the new digs at The Ion’s free community block party that takes place this Friday night, wrapping up the week-long grand opening festivities as part of the Ion’s Activation Festival.

Swing by and enjoy a night of arcade and lawn games, live music from Empire 6, food trucks, snap a pic with Houston sports mascots, and take in a fireworks show to cap off the week’s celebration.

About The Ion District

The Ion serves as anchor for a 12-block district in Midtown that acts as Houston’s entrepreneurial watering hole, where businesses, residents, startups, and leaders from the city’s corporate, academic and civic life can come together to collaborate.
